yeah, it's all for you

loooooooking forward to coming home. god damn yes i am. i can not wait until i can see my family and friends and just hug them to death! really really HUG THEM TO DEATH, I will cause them serious damage to their bodies! the week is planned with many people dropping by and saying hi!

the parents are laying in the sofa sleeping while the movie is just starting again, and in a while the kids will be back. i don't know if i am baby sitting or not tonight, they are not very clear about that. they are not as good of an family as i thought they were. and i am very happy that i am leaving them i must say, the kids are alright but the parents just get on my nerves. last night i was on the ground of going crazy. i needed to get out of the house. and out of the house i got!

the girls took me out, and we had a great time if you discard kevin (fatimas kind of boyfriend) that stood her up twice. haha, so now she is giving him the boot! ended up being a nice night after all. aurora is going home as well, on Wednesday so it wasn't just my goodbye night.. fatima is pretty upset that both of us are leaving.. there isn't really anyone else here she knows and she isn't going home over christmas so it's going to be a bit lonely for her but in january she is starting school so she will find friends there hopefully!!

i miss them! it's sad to leave and here in bushey i've found friends as well. and it's sad to leave them too. i told aurora today and she started to cry, don't really like to make her cry.

but the family is going to ask her tonight when she gets here if she wants to move in here and work here instead of the other family who she doens't really like..

my knees are too bad, i need to go home and fix them. i can't do my job here. so i'm coming home and i am going to the bottom of this knee shiiit and THEN if there is time before i go to school i will go back here and see them again!

been to the doctor, they think it's serious. but they are first going to test me for everything that you can test a poor au pair for.. on thursday. then we'll see what comes next. worse case scenario i'm gonna have to go home to really go in for it to fix my knees. i knew that this time would come but yeah not yet..

my knees are fucked up, AGAIN. and this time it is baad. it feels like the last time i fell and almost broke my leg off, (not really but almost) but this time in both knees. it's always worse in the right knee but it's not a big difference now. I've been lying down and sitting down all day, it hurts to move my foot. FUCK! i hate my knees more than anything right now. this always fucking happens. i hate it i hate it! If it's not better by tomorrow the dad is going to take me to the hospital to get someone to look at it, hopefully it will be alright or something..

I'm nineteen years old and i feel like an old lady who can't do anything because of her bad hip. CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME A HIP REPLACEMENT PLEASE?!

he's got a fast car

Big night yesterday!

Me and Aurora met up around nine o'clock, went to the supermarket and then found a Spanish specialty and an Italian specialty. Cava and Lambrusco. So we bought and drank. The bottles went FAST. Felt like ten minutes but I'm sure it was three hours! Then we went in to Watford and were trying to get in to a club. Couldn't because I was wearing trainers... Good country this one..

After a while we got in to a club/bar don't really know what it is, that's called Kandi Bar. Had a freaking good time, ended up dancing close to the funniest guy there. He wasn't dancing, he was doing "moves" all the time. If he wasn't spinning the basketball on his finger, he was fishing, or doing the lawnmower. We ended up "Playing" both basketball and volleyball. Really funny really. Then the place closed up at two (tooooo early) and we went to grab a taxi, then the fucking police shows up and arrests this random guy, and puts handcuffs and pulls down to the ground and everything, a little bit scary I must say, but the guy was laughing his ass off the entire time so I'm thinking that he was either stoned or really drunk.

Found a taxi that would bring us back to my place, and this guy wants the taxi then realizes that we're getting in it and says sorry. I asked if they were going to Bushey, and he said that they were going somewhere oxey something. "aaaaah sorry, wrong way" (I have noooo idea where that is..) then we got invited to a party which I turned down without even thinking about it. And realized when I was IN the taxi that he was goodlooking. Turned and asked Aurora if she wanted to go, which she didn't so instead of a party somewhere in England with hot blokes it was a frozen pizza in my kitchen. That wasn't very bad, don't get me wrong, but I need to meet more people!!

3.30 I went to bed, woke up 12.55 today, OOPS, church??? That didn't happen. Simone and Martyn said that He would forgive me, which he will. Since he knows that if I go out Saturday night I am in no shape of going to church Sunday morning... And he still loves me :D

Aurora and me are getting really close, we are GOOD together. We have so much fun! It is really nice to have gotten a friend after only a week here. The best part is that we live five minutes walk from each other.

This family is very very nice. They want me to rather ask Aurora to spend the night here than we walk home alone. And Aurora wasn't feeling very well yesterday afternoon so she wasn't sure if she wanted to go out or not so Sim asked me to ask her over here and since Sim and Martyn were going out we could be here alone and just hang out. And an hour after she told me that she was going up the stairs to get dressed and almost yelled down the stairs "CALL AURORA AND TELL HER TO COME OVER". That wouldn't of happened in my old family. Feels good. Haha, I am so tired so I think I'm gonna go to bed for an hour or two more and just read or something.

Startrek marathon!

The dad in the family has a thing for old movies and sci fi movies! I'm not the biggest fan of sci fi movies and old movies.. Woke up a couple of hours ago, pretty hungover I must say but I'm better now! Going out again tonight. Went out with Aurora and Fatima (two au pairs here in Bushey) for a beer (two) and tonight me and Aurora are going out to Watford, a little bit bigger city close to where we live. And hopefully we'll meet a few more people. In the pub yesterday there were about 15 people. ON A FRIDAY NIGHT. And they closed at 23.30... Hopefully the bars are open a bit longer in Watford and a bit more people. Oh God now we're watching Snakes On A Plane. I reeeally don't like snakes. It's scary, I'll go up and have a bath now! Haha!

Kelly Clarkson did, as usual, a brilliant job yesterday at Swedish Idol. Congratulations to Marie, for winning. I'm not quite sure that she was the one to win this. But she is better than I expected. Amanda is more orignal I think..

I couldn't stand the look of his face

I do not like being sick. You know when you have a hangover and the entire body is limp and you feel really tired, and have a headache, I have that except the headache. And I'm not hungover. The family is really nice about it, "just be lazy today, don't do anything if you're not feeling well!" Well I'm used to the other family where I worked during the flu. So I've cleaned the floors, put in a machine of clothes, cleaned the kitchen and very soon I'm gonna wipe of the couch (because the dog likes to put his dirty feet on it) and then hang the laundry! A bit less than I usually do, because I will not do the ironing today, but it's pretty much all I was planning on doing.

Tomorrow night, Kelly Clarkson will be playing in Sweden, at the Swedish Idol final. And I'm gonna be stuck in front of the computer to see it! Then on the 11th of April I'm going to see her perform live. Not just one song like it is tomorrow but an entire concert! SO HAPPY!

Now I'm getting served with a coffee, haha I like it!
This weekend I'm going in to Watford to buy a pair of boots, I really need them. Then me and my newly found Spanish au-pair friend are going out for a drink in Watford as well. And on Sunday I'm going to church, we'll see if it's any good this church, otherwise there is five other churches here in Bushey I've heard!

And you don't even care

It is funny the way you learn. The experience in Milan made me accept people way more. How they are and what mood they're in. You learn. I still get one of those lumps in my stomach every time I get told to do something, or if I HAVE done it yet. I hate getting yelled at, but so what if I get yelled at? It'll pass. I'll do a better job next time. I haven't yet but I will probably at one occasion or two! Haha, I know that by knowing myself. I am not used to be responsible for an entire house. All the cleaning. And the hours are still a bit foreign to me. And I need to find a routine. Most importantly, a routine! The days and the hours just fly past. Can't make it all on time.


Just got called into the kitchen. This family is Jewish and today starts Hanukkah. So they lighted to candles on a special hanukiya (chandelier) and sing a few songs. Then the kids got a present each, which they get every day from today and for seven more days. My first Hanukkah!

I put salt in Martyn's coffee and then when they were having a cigarette he asked if I wanted one of his and I was like yeah okay? Then he threw one that wasn't in his pack, THEN I got worried, "whaat have you done to this one?? I'll just have one of my own." And he has emptied my entire pack! When he takes out my ciggies he drops one on the floor close to his feet and I said "oh don't get it on your feet, it'll smell just like your feet!" Then he takes the cigarette and rubs it all over his used sock that's on the floor. Then puts it back in the pack.
Doesn't sound that funny, but it is! We have a good time :D I'm thinking that the humour is gonna get even worse the next months! Haha!

The cleaning is still a bit overwhelming I think. I have to do it all over again tomorrow. All of it.. Well, I will find my own routine to do things and then things will become more normal!

Should eat lunch and take a shower soon. The girls are at school and Martyn and Sim are somewhere else. Fixing the new car is my guess!

I have been here almost 48 hours and I just NOW realized that they have fishes. How observant am I?????

If you are wondering why my titles are kind of weird I have an explanation. I always write the song I'm listening to. Or the line that I hear just when I start to write!

I love Kelly Clarkson, so most titles is from her songs. Shit I only listen to her. Haha. Now I am finally listening to her. Havn't all weekend. Jag älskar dig Kelly!!

I don't want your hand, you'll only pull me down

Sunday night and I am exhausted. I can't think of anything that I've done to make me tired but I think it's just overwhelming of it all. New family, new country and a lot of new things all around that.

Yesterday we had a couple of friends over, two couples. It started up with pizza and ended up with Sara's fiance without his top of in the kitchen (Simone were cutting his hair). Had a blast but since we had been shopping all day in Watford (the neighbourhood city, if you look out the living room window you can look out on the entire Watford, really nice at night with all the lights on there) to a one pound shop, where everything is one pound. Really usefull! Got some few nice things there.

We were sitting and "watching" Harry Potter, and all the movies has been recorded in two places. Just around the corner from us and in Edinburgh. And hooow cool isn't that?! I love Harry Potter. Read all seven books this summer in three weeks!

Today we've just taking it easy til about two o'clock when we went to Amanda and Stuart's house and had the biggest Sunday lunch ever. WOW! She had been cooking all day really. It was wonderful and unbelievable! Have been full ever since!

And we drink so much coffee. Not very strong coffee so it's all good. If I drank the coffee we had in Milan later than nine o'clock I couldn't sleep. Now I drink coffee late afternoon and even in the night and just have a two hours high, and I'm able to sleep like a baby!

I havn't really listened to much Kelly Clarkson during the weekend but I will later tonight, I really miss her. We're in a relationship, she and I. We've been together all weekend. And I love it!
I must make it very clear, I absolutley love it here. So far.

Parents and friends, I've bought a microphone so if you have msn messenger we can talk over there if you get a mic aswell! So we don't have to spend a fortune to talk over the phone. I say "we" but I mean my parents!

Now I'm gonna go and listen to my baby then go to sleep. Work tomorrow you know :P

Because of you

I'm here, I'm comfortable, I'm liking it, I'm feeling good, I'm happy.

That is all that you guys need to know. There are a few things that I'm gonna have to get used to which is completely different from what I am used to! And I like that, I really feel like I fit in waaaay more here after two days than I did after five months!

The girls are overwhelming, they are really used to having au pairs so they have welcomed me with open arms which feels great. And the parents, God I just love the parents! They are open minded, they are fine with everything and they just want me to be me. Nothing else. And we have such a blast!

I can already feel that my accent is starting to become more English but we'll see how it works out :)
